Dr. Mitchel Strand

Dr. Mitchel Strand is co-owner of TotalVision Eye Health Center. He holds a B.A. from California State University and a Doctorate from The New England College of Optometry. Dr. Strand is a long standing member of the American Optometric Association and currently sits on the board of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. Dr. Strand has served as a clinical instructor, guest lecturer, a consultant to the contact lens industry and an industrial vision consultant. Dr. Strand’s patient care interests include specialty contact lenses and treatment and management of eye diseases. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Strand’s hobbies include tennis, volleyball and sailing as well as family activities with his wife, Dr. Regina Strand and their three sons.

Dr. Regina Strand

Dr. Regina Strand is co-owner of TotalVision Eye Health Center. She holds a B.A. from Wheaton College and a Doctorate from The New England College of Optometry. Dr. Strand is a long standing member of both the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. Dr. Strand currently sits on the board of the Connecticut Board of Examiners for Optometry and the CT Radio Information Service (CRIS). Dr. Strand is among the small minority of optometrists who specialize in low vision services. In addition to spending quality time with her husband, Dr. Mitchel Strand and their three sons, Dr. Strand’s interests include long walks with her dog, Lucy, creating nutritious culinary delights and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Nicholas Paradis

Doctor of Optometry

Holds a Doctorate from The New England College of Optometry. Dr. Paradis is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists. Prior to starting his doctoral studies, Dr. Paradis worked with TotalVision as a patient technician and front desk coordinator for 5 years. His patient interests include contact lens fitting and treating and managing dry eye disease.

Dr. Umair Khan

Doctor of Optometry

Graduated from optometry school at MCPHS University. He has a keen interest in contact lenses, ocular disease, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. He is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honors society and is certified by the CDC in traumatic brain injury with sport related concussions. Dr. Khan currently serves on the board of VOSH International. He has a passion to provide those who are less fortunate with basic eye care services. As an optometry student, Dr. Khan participated in eye care mission trips to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua and Moshi, Tanzania. Professionally, he is also a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association.
