Dr. Mitchel Strand
Dr. Strand earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University at Fullerton in 1980. He extended his education at the New England College of Optometry and was granted the degree of Doctor of Optometry in 1984. His training also included clinical externships in contact lenses and pathology. Since he began practicing optometric medicine, Dr. Stand has served as
a clinical instructor, pediatric optometric consultant and an industrial vision consultant.
Dr. Mitchel Strand is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Optometric Society. Together with Dr. Regina Strand he has received the Optometric Recognition Award from the AOA in 1990, 1992 and 1996. Both doctors continually update their training and education to stay abreast of current developments. Their Total Vision practice offers full scope
optometry, including the treatment of eye diseases.
