In 1989, after five years at a California optometry office, Drs. Regina and Mitchel Strand moved to Connecticut and opened their own Total Vision practice on West H artford’s Shield Street. Three years later, the practice moved a few miles away to the current location in Newington. Since that time, the practice has tripled in size. Every year Total Vision is caring for
more patients than ever before.
Today the practice also provides more services, more patient hours, and an additional location at 2020 New London Turnpike (Route 32) in Uncasville. By adding the medical aspects of eye care, Total Vision has become a complete eye care practice. State licensing, advanced training, and the latest equipment allow Drs. Strand to examine and test patients
for all major eye diseases and issues, including glaucoma. As primary care doctors, Drs. Regina and Mitchel Strand can recognize and treat most eye conditions and refer patients who require surgery or tertiary care.
